This is the second book in the series, so you need to read the first one. The first part was heavy on world building and romance, the second part carries the story forward. Slower then the first one and more predictable but since I had bonded with the characters I felt invested in their journey. The ending is of a cliffhanger and makes me yearn for the third part already.
